A team from our university reports that it is in the early stages of developing gloves for full immersion and a sense of virtual reality.
The team added in a statement that the glove was developed so that they make thermal gloves that convey a realistic experience of objects in the virtual world and their temperatures, such as a snowball or a cup of hot tea.
The team explained that over the past months, the new glove was developed and equipped with modern technologies based on the technology of thermostats applications, through the first processing chip specialized in addressing these changes with high accuracy.
The university indicated that its research team worked on developing an integrated system of thermal effects in order to convince the user’s cognitive system of the presence of objects of different temperatures in his experience of virtual reality.
The university hopes that keeping pace with the new technology will contribute to the development of this new market, which gives a greater opportunity for technical developers to benefit from the changes of the times and keep pace with them in a way that facilitates human life, especially in light of the changes imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, for example, and people rely more on technologies in the practice of their daily activities.
